We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Sales to lead our global sales efforts for Main Sequence. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the financial services industry, specifically with asset managers, private banks, pension funds, and family offices. This role involves building and leading a high-performance sales team, expanding our client base, and driving revenue growth across key regions, with a focus on Europe and the Americas.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead Main Sequence's global sales effort, developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy.
  • Build and manage a high-performance sales team to efficiently cover clients, with an emphasis on Europe and the Americas.
  • Leverage existing relationships with asset managers, private banks, pension funds, and family offices to drive sales growth.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in the financial services sector.
  • Develop and implement sales processes and best practices to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Identify and generate new leads, expanding our client base and market presence.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align sales strategies with business objectives.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets, contributing to the overall success and growth of the company.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions.
  • Ensure a strong performance-based culture within the sales team.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Sales Leadership: Proven experience in leading and managing high-performance sales teams.
  • Financial Services Expertise: Extensive experience in sales within the financial services industry, particularly with asset managers, private banks, pension funds, and family offices.
  • SaaS and Financial Products: Preference for candidates with experience selling SaaS and financial products.
  • Relationship Management: Strong existing relationships with key clients in Europe and the Americas.
  • Enterprise Solutions Software: Demonstrated success in selling enterprise solutions software to financial institutions.
  • Performance-Based Compensation: Comfortable working in an environment with a strong emphasis on performance-based compensation.
  • Lead Generation: Demonstrated ability to expand and generate new leads, driving business growth.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels.

Job requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of sales experience in the financial services industry and SaaS.
  • Established relationships in key regions, particularly Europe and the Americas.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
